Really it's Raining?
Ok it has been raining for WAY TOO LONG! We went from all this pretty weather to cold and rainy then to humid and rainy and now to tornado's and rainy. I HATE tornado weather. It creeps me out! Right now it is storming as if we don't have enough rain. Most of Conway is already flooded. I just don't know how much more I can take this. My situation doesn't get better because I married a pilot and all they care about is weather. So Joe is always looking at either the radar or outside our back door making comments like "oh it's raining hard", "oh no the winds are shifting", and "it doesn't look good out there". I have got to move somewhere where it doesn't rain this much or have this many tornado warnings.
Gusano's
There's a new pizza joint in town that we decided to go and try out on Saturday. Since it is literally a hop and a skip away from our house we decided to walk over there. After waiting for an hour and a half for our pizza we were able to try this pizza that we had heard so much about. Me being the picky eater that I am didn't care for it as much as everyone else. I don't think i'll ever go back but it was fun to try it out. After we got done eating I realized that I was way too cold to walk home so I ever so kindly asked Joe to get the car and come pick us up. Being the wonderful husband that he is he did while dragging Adam along. While Melanie and I were waiting on the boys we decided to write them poems on a napkin. We found ourselves to be freaking hysterical but the boys just laughed out of kindness. We had fun regardless of how long the pizza took and our poems were really funny.

Easter
When Joe and I first got married he thought I had lost my mind when easter came around and I told him that girls are supposed to get a new easter dress. After being married for 3 years he now gets excited for me to get a new dress. While we were in Dallas we both found ourselves Easter outfits. This Easter was fun. We went over to my parents to eat dinner and then after dinner my dad had hidden snickers for us throughout the living room. I found the most but I still shared.

That's the first
For those of you that don't know I work as a medical assistant at an OBGYN clinic here in town. I absolutely love it and I have a blast pretty much everyday. Well today was one of the better days because around 11:30 one of our patients mom, who was in an ultrasound room, opened the door and yelled "we need help in here". A few of the nurses ran in there to help the patient. She was an OB patient and she had passed out after her exam, there not that scary I promise. After about 10 minutes Dr. Martin asked one of the nurses to call and see what the fastest way would be for her to get to the labor and delivery unit. She called and they suggested that we come and pick up a stretcher. When she said that we were going to have to go pick up a stretcher I couldn't pass up the moment. I was just too excited! So off we went to labor and delivery to pick up the stretcher. The whole way back we looked like a drunk trying to drive a car. It was pretty bad. Neither one of us knew what we were doing so i'm sure people that we were crazy. When we got back to the clinic the patient got on the stretcher and then they told us to take her back to labor and delivery. I must admit I was pretty worried because our driving skills weren't so good getting there and plus her family was going to be following us. We made it there ok with only one mistake. When we got in the elevator we couldn't figure out why the door wouldn't shut and we weren't moving so finally after waiting for a little bit Amber (the nurse helping me) asked me if I pushed the button to the floor that we were going to. Of course I didn't and then I felt stupid because her family thought I was a retard. Oh well, we got her there safe and sound and there ended up being nothing wrong with her. We later found out that our air conditioning broke at work and the ultrasound room was set at 80 degrees. We didn't realize it until the whole clinic turned into a sauna after lunch. Needless to say we sweated all afternoon and they never did fix the air conditioner. Maybe tomorrow will be cooler.
I have bangs and I feel like i'm 5 again
Our entire weekend in Dallas I was not having good hair days at all so on our drive home on Saturday I decided that I was going to cut bangs. Joe didn't think it was a good idea but as soon as we got home I got in the shower and when I got out away I went on cutting my bangs. I really liked them the first day, the second day not so much, and the third day I was getting used to them. You can let me know what you think. It won't hurt my feelings. By the way I promise there not crooked they just look like that in the pictures.

Our trip to Dallas
This past weekend Joe and I went to Dallas to see one of his mission companions get married. It was so much fun! We drove down right after work on Thursday and got in around 11:30 pm. We stayed in a springhill marriot in Dallas. We woke up Friday morning had a great big breakfast at the hotel and then headed off to the wedding. It was so pretty outside. They seriously had the perfect weather. After the wedding we had to of course go shopping. We first went and ate at the one and only cheesecake factory and because it was so nice outside we got to eat outside.
It was amazing food, I had the best chicken salad sandwich I have ever had and Joe had a chicken and guacamole sandwich. Then we went shopping there at the mall. I didn't feel like trying anything on so we mainly shopped for Joe. It was alot of fun and he got alot of great things. After we got done clothes shopping we went to Ikea!
By this point our feet were so tired so we just walked around Ikea, bought a lamp, and headed back to the hotel. We rested for a good hour to and hour and half and then headed out again to a restaurant Joe had been to and wanted me to try called the blue goose. It was really good. But the atmosphere was annoying. It was really loud. The next day we went to the Galleria and finished our shopping and then we came home. It was a really fun trip.
Horse Shoes and Croquet
Last year Joe and I bought a set of horse shoes and croquet for us to play with my parents during memorial day. We had a blast playing it but we could never play it at our own house. So when we first moved in to our house that was the number thing I was most excited about was having a yard for us to play horse shoes and croquet but we had to wait for the weather to get nice. This past week the weather was PERFECT so everyday after work we went out and played either horse shoes or croquet. Melanie and I have not been able to beat Joe yet. But, I did kick some butt at the croquet. Joe doesn't like losing at croquet so it's pretty funny to watch him get all nervous while someone is beating him. Also since we have a yard Melanie and I have been trying to convince Joe into getting a trampoline. It hasn't worked just yet but if any of you want to contribute to our trampoline fund it will be greatly appreciated.
They both got ringers!

They both got ringers!

When I realized that Melanie had never played Dance Dance Revolution I immediately got it out for her to try. She did really good, better then most people that start out. We figured if we danced enough we could work off some calories. Well, We all got an itch for cupcakes so all three of us went to kroger and fought over which cupcakes and which icing we were going to get. We all finally agreed on white cake mix and confetti frosting (which is amazing by the way). While we were at the store we also found starburst jelly beans and ice cream. We came home, made the cupcakes, and ate 24 cupcakes and a bag of starburst jelly beans all while we were dancing of course.
Let's just say my stomach was hurting for 3 days.

Family Blogging
Since I have the day off I talked my mom into letting me create her a blog. You'll have to go check it out. She is very proud of it and like the rest of us she is starting out asking herself "what do I blog". So do a good job of welcoming her into the blog world.
snow again?
I think we have hit a world record with the most snow days in one week. Once again it is snowing today. It snowed all night and is still snowing at 8:00am. The sleet is coming next so the clinic shut down which means I don't have to go to work today! I do have a dentist appointment at 12:30 and I've had this appointment for like a month and a half and I really need to go so maybe the weather will be ok for me to go. I wish Joe wouldn't have had to go to work but the roads weren't bad enough when he left this morning. So I don't have anyone to go out and play with. I guess I could try and get Melanie to go but she's just gonna be sleeping all morning. Does anyone want to come play with me?

I need help
I want to make my blog cute without having to pay anyone to do it. I've been trying to research layouts and stuff but I can't find any that aren't for myspace. Anyway, if any of you have time to help me out that would be fantastic. Just let me know. I love blogging. I hope Oprah calls soon for Dr. J and I to go on her show.
more results
I got my heart monitor results back today and they were normal. I still have an abnormal heart beat, My heart beats an extra beat per minute. So now I'm setting up an appointment with the psychiatrist because I officially feel crazy. I know somethings wrong with me and I wish someone would fix it. It's pretty bad when you have an MRI and a heart monitor and you want them to come back abnormal just so they can fix it. I will be going to see a neurologist and an ear, nose, and throat doctor sometime soon. I'm sure all of you are sick of me talking about my dizziness but I'm sick of being dizzy.

my dizzy day at the mall
Saturday Melanie and Katie Baney invited me to go shopping with them to the mall because we all had coupons to the limited. I wasn't going to go because I hadn't felt good but Joe suggested me getting out of the house and he was going to be in little rock so he said I could call him and he would come pick me up if I wasn't feeling good. So I decided to go and it ended up being fun. We didn't go to too many stores but we did all get our $15 dollars off plus $20 dollars off of our pants. I was excited. Our last stop was aeropostale. I was so tired and dizzy that I fell asleep in the dressing room. Melanie and Katie thought it would be funny to take pictures so here they are.
Results
I got my MRI and my blood work back today and they both came back negative. Now all I'm waiting on is my heart monitor results. So far so good but they better figure something out because I'm sick of being dizzy.
Welcome to Arkansas
I woke up this morning to Melanie calling me telling me that we didn't have to go to work until 1:00 today. I was confused and asked her why and she asked me if I had looked outside. I told her no so she came in my room and opened my blinds and it was SNOWING! I could not believe it! It was just 67 yesterday. I was so excited that I opened all of my blinds and laid on the couch and cuddled up in my blanket and slept the rest of the morning. Needless to say the snow was gone by 3 this afternoon and it's supposed to be in the 60's tomorrow. That's why I said welcome to Arkansas where the weather is always changing.

i'm bringing sexy back
So today was the big day! I got my MRI done and I also got my heart monitor. It's pretty much the sexiest thing I've ever worn. My MRI went well, I won't get my results back for a couple of days. The heart monitor....well, it's more painful then the IV that was put into me during my MRI. I have so much tape on me I could wrap all my christmas presents. The bad part is is the more you move the more it pulls on your skin. Katie Baney warned me of this but I didn't fully understand until today. Besides the painful tape I have to push a button everytime I feel dizzy or my heart starts beating fast or anything like that. So I have a little diary that I have to write everything down on. I write down the time, what I was doing, and what it is that I was feeling.

So it's not vertigo....
I found out Friday that my medicine was not supposed to give me that kind of a reaction, I no longer have vertigo, and my heart is beating an extra beat. I had to go back to the doctor on Friday and they did an ekg on me, which showed fine, and now I have a MRI set up on monday and I get to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours and can't shower during that time. Yeah i'll smell like poop! I was however prescribed Valium and they told me to watch for dizziness. I had to laugh to myself because i'm already feeling dizziness before the drug. Don't worry though, my doctor told me that he only prescribed me 2 mg instead of 5 or 10 like he normally does. Even with that low of a dosage though I felt EXTREMELY groggy, but don't worry I wasn't having to work while taking this one.

what's that, I'm dizzy?
So for the past couple of months I have been getting really dizzy at random times and then in the past couple of weeks I've been going through spurts of almost passing out and extreme dizziness. I finally went to the doctor about it because I was starting to get concerned. He told me that we was going to treat me with antivert which is for vertigo. Incase your wonder what the heck vertigo is here's the definition: Vertigo is a major symptom of a balance disorder. It is the sensation of spinning or swaying while the body is stationary with respect to the earth or surroundings. There are two types of vertigo: subjective and objective. Subjective vertigo is when a person feels a false sensation of movement. Objective vertigo is when the surroundings will appear to move past a person's field of vision. So here I was all happy because I had a diagnosis and an excuse for almost passing out on a regular day basis. I went and got my prescription filled and when I got home I was reading the directions and noticed the "may cause drowsiness" tag on the side. My ever so lovely roommate said that was normal and that most prescriptions said that. So we figured out that if I were to take up to the 4 that it recommended and I would take one when I woke up, at lunch, when I got home from work, and before I went to bed. So what did I do I took one right then to start me off. I went throughout the night fine I was still dizzy but I was getting used it and then I took another pill at 10 right before I went to bed. After I took it I thought it was strange that I suddenly felt really tired. Well, I woke up this morning barely. Barely being the keyword in that sentence. I got ready and never could quite get my eyes to open completely. Well the retard that I am drove to work and when I got there I knew that I had done a dumb thing by even showing up. I continued out my morning feeling as if I had taken 10 benadryl's and then told I couldn't sleep. At lunch I thought it would have been better for me not to drive anywhere and go sleep in one of the beds at work and so that's what I did. I woke up at 1:00 to finish out the rest of my day feeling a tiny bit better but still dizzy and groggy. I came home as soon as it turned 5 and thought to myself "why did I even go to work". It just goes to show you how dedicated I am to my job. haha. Anyway, here I am still tired, groggy, dizzy, and feeling like I'm going to fall at any given minute. So if you want to give me a hard time about anything I'm simply going to say "I have vertigo, leave me alone"

Interesting
I learned something today, I know it's hard to believe but I did. I learned that people really have a hard time to quit smoking. You might say to yourself "duh" but I saw it first hand today. A girl that I work with and I were getting back from lunch and we were driving around like crazy people with everyone else trying to find a parking spot because for some reason every tuesday it takes FOREVER to find a parking spot, but that's beside the point, while we were looking we saw this man in his gown hooked up to his IV walking off the hospital premises to smoke. I was dying laughing, as I know most of you are surprised by, until my friend told me that he was going out to smoke. I just thought it was pathetic and sad that someone is that hardcore that they are willing to go out in the freezing cold in there gown and an IV hooked up to them just to smoke. Did he think that that was maybe why he was in the hospital in the first place? Thank goodness I don't have to worry about that.
P.S. don't worry, I made sure that I wouldn't be breaking HIPPA regulations before I posted this
