Our adventure hiking

A couple of Saturdays ago the weather was so pretty! Joe and I were excited and wanted to be outside all day. He had been begging me to go on a hike for months so I finally gave in. We went to subway and got some sandwiches and then I had the idea of maybe trying out a trail at Toad Suck that I thought would be more of my style of hiking. We got to Toad Suck and ate our sandwiches and then we were off for our adventure hike. We went up a hill and came down a hill and that was it.

I was laughing hysterically because I remembered that being a lot longer. It seriously only lasted 2 min. Joe just looked at me and shook his head and then began to ask me if I would go to petite jean with him. I agreed in disgust because my trail let me down. I really thought I was being tricky and was going to get out of this big long hike. Obviously it didn't work. So we drove out to petite jean and when we got there I think all of Arkansas had the same idea as us because there were cars backed up for a good half a mile. I didn't have to say anything. Joe was sad but he couldn't stand the thought of being crowded on a trail with tons of people and neither could I so we found another trail called the Cave something and we did that instead. It turned out perfect, short & sweet, longer then 2 minutes, and Joe got to climb some big rocks. It doesn't get better then that. After that hike I told Joe that I had never been to Mt. Magazine. He insisted on taking me so off we went. We sadly got lost and didn't make it and then had to drive what felt like an eternity but really an hour and half home. When we got home we went and played tennis and then we crashed the rest the of the night. It was so much fun! Maybe we'll make it to the real hike someday.

Melanie turned 22!

Thursday was Melanie's birthday and boy did we celebrate. Ok not really. She had 2 finals that morning so we didn't celebrate until AFTER her finals. We invited a few people over and grilled out hot dogs and burned some chicken. Then we had the privilege of eating my homemade burnt crusted strawberry cheesecake. The cheesecake was good but it was 20 times better two days later. Melanie was shocked that I could make cheesecake from scratch. It was a special occasion. After eating we did the normal birthday stuff and Melanie opened her present. Yes I said that meaning one. haha. The night didn't last much longer until we were all exhausted and had to go bed. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELANIE!

Friday I pretended to be Dr. Johnson as I did my first ultrasound on Dr. Martin. I couldn't help myself but to actually play the part. So here's to you Dr. J!

Nichole got a mini van

Nichole, a girl I work with, is your typical person that hates mini vans and she said she would never own one mainly because it's called a "mini van", I told her she could call it her SUV (Suped up Van). Well her car (honda accord) started having problems so she got to shopping. Today she called me and told me that she was a new owner of a Honda Odyssey. I'm more excited for her because we can pimp out in the "SUV" now.

i'm a retard

I'm so amazed by my teeth that I keep clicking back and forth between the before and after picture. I LOVE the dentist!

Dentist

I went to the dentist about a month and a half ago and I had one little cavity. They told me to come back and have it filled. So today was the day! During lunch I went to the dentist they numbed me up and went to town on my tooth. I felt a little bit but it tickled more then anything. Also while I was there I had them even out my top front teeth. It looks SO much better. Best 6o bucks i've ever spent. Most people don't notice and those that said they noticed I think are just trying to be nice. I'll give you a before and after picture so you can actually see the difference. My face was numb until about 4:00 and now my tooth feels like it has extra build up on it so I need to figure out if that's normal. Hopefully I don't have to go back.

Never seen that before

On Sunday we were over at the green's house eating lunch and after we were done Joe looked out the window and started laughing. So we all looked out there and this is what we found.
I was obviously amazed because I don't think in my entire life have a seen a squirrel sit for longer then 5 seconds. But this one was just relaxing in the sun.

Wow, those are small hands

I've been reminded more then once that I haven't updated my blog. So here I am, sick, off work, and blogging. Last Friday some girls and I went to lunch and during our conversation we started trying on each others wedding rings. When we got to Amber Hunts we realized that her ring barely even fit our pinkies so of course I looked down at her hand and realized she had a hand the size of a 5 year old. I had to take a picture and I told her that she was making my blog.

I'm Pregnant!

Not really! I tried to play an April Fools joke on Aubrey by doing a pregnancy test with one our OB patients urine. I sent it through a text message to Aubrey and she of course called me immediately but she didn't believe me. I really wanted to send it to my mom but I knew she would not be happy. That's the only good joke I could come up with and Aubrey was the only person that I knew wouldn't get mad about it and then she didn't even believe me. Maybe next year I can do a better job.

How to suck up to your boss

When I first started I was being nice and warmed up some lunch for Dr. Johnson because she had been in surgery during lunch and wasn't able to eat. We had some left overs in the break room so I warmed up some food on a plate and I put it on her desk with your usual napkin, fork, and drink. Well apparently it looked fancy so when Dr. Johnson saw it she asked me where her rose was. Ever since then it's been a joke with me, Dr. J, and a fellow co-worker Nicole. On Tuesday Dr. J asked Nicole and I to pick her up some lunch so we agreed and then we got the big idea to make her lunch extra special. So before we headed off for lunch we found some flowers that were laying around (hideous flowers might I add) and a candle for kicks. When we got back we got it all set up with her food on a plate, flowers infront of her food and a lit candle. We figured that since we lit the candle that it would only be appropriate for us to turn off her lights just to make it more romantic and special. We waited and waited and waited until finally we pretty much forced her into going into her office. She obviously loved it! Were only the best workers ever!

AGAIN?

In case you are wondering Arkansas is under ANOTHER tornado warning. We are supposed to get large hail along with more tornado warnings. I can't wait! I love the weather here. Also, if your wondering how we get so many tornado warnings it's because it's like days like this when we start out with it being 42 degrees till about 3pm and then it suddenly changes to serious humidity and a temp of about 75. Get me out of this place!
