Liz Aubrey Tribett

I'm a bad mom and waited until my child was a whole week old before blogging about the adorable little thing. We had our baby girl last wednesday at 9:50 am. She weighed 8 pounds 14 ounces and was 19 3/4 tall. We went in at midnight on Tuesday and I was given a cervidil, at 5:30 I asked for pain killers through an IV which came with phenegran, which knocked me completely out to where I don't really remember most of the day. 6:30 I was given an epidural, which I slept through. 8:30 my water broke while they were checking me and I was dilated to a 5-6. 9:05 I was complete and ready to push. I pushed but don't remember much again because of the phenegran. I slept in between pushes and then at 9:50 she popped out, litterally thats what it felt like. We are loving having her home and can't get enough of her. She is spoiled rotten already and she knows it. We are having to stay low for awhile and are pretty much confined to our home due to all the illnesses out there so we sleep alot. She loves her boppy and will sleep hours in it.

37 weeks

I am 37 and 5 today and thought i'd update you a little on what's about to go down with this whole pregnancy. Exactly one week from today, Sept 9, I will be induced and Joe and I will be parents. I'm not gonna lie, I am completely stressing out and I don't know if I am going to be able to handle it all. Obviously it's gonna happen so I just need to prepare myself. It's been fun and we can't wait to see Liz. We have pretty much everything done except for our own bags packed. I wouldn't say i'm nesting because what I normally would enjoy doing i'm dreading because i'm too tired to do anything but i'm pushing myself through it and getting it done. My last day of work was last Thursday so I am just enjoying my last week and a half off for the rest of my life. Wish us luck!

Baby Shower

This past Saturday my bestest of friends threw me a baby shower. It turned out great with lots of good food and great gifts. I also had the privilege of having my two sisters here for it. Even though it was a short trip it meant the world to me that they were here for it. Thanks everyone who helped out and thanks everyone who came.


The AWESOME cake that Melanie and Katie B. had made just for me. It looked amazing and even tasted even more amazing.

I hate the fact that it looks like either A. I could eat one of them or B. it looks like I already did eat one of them.

Since us girls are rarely all together we took advantage of the one day we had together after the shower and went and pampered ourselves. Ty was so good the whole day and let me hold him. I guess I have lots of good cushion because was asleep on my shoulder for most of the afternoon. The best part is when he fell asleep on my tummy. He loves baby Liz already!
