Visiting Tulsa

*Note: Christmas post following

Joe was going out of town and I didn't want to be home alone so we decided to make a trip to Tulsa to see our friends, Katie, Colby, and Brynlee. We got there Friday night and played all day Saturday. Joe had to leave Sunday and Liz and I stayed until Wednesday. We had a lot of fun! Saturday we went to the mall so the girls could ride the carousel. Afterwards we went to bass pro shop where we saw fish and played a shooting game. Sunday it started snowing and snowed till Tuesday. We stayed inside and looked at it from the window. We hung out inside the rest of the week and watched lots of movies and ate lots of junk food.

Liz's new look. I have no idea where she gets it from. I'm blaming it on her daddy

Christmas 2010

Christmas was A for AMAZING this year. Aubrey, Kyle, and Lacey came for 2 weeks, my parents came for a week and a half, and Derek came for 4 days. We had tons of fun, lots of laughs, and of course food food food. Kyle loves to cook and so we got to take advantage and enjoy his awesome meals. We also got to enjoy our first fires in our new house. There is nothing quite like a real fire.

It couldn't have gone better and we were so sad to have everyone leave. Hopefully more family trips will be in store for 2011!

Mullet be gone

In the last month the back of Liz's hair has been growing like a weed. It turned into a mullet and as obsessive that I am it had to go. I was planning on taking her to a fun kids place to have her "first" haircut but it was going to more of a trim so I decided to do it myself. With the help of Katie, I did the first trim Sunday morning. It looked better but not as good as I wanted so Sunday night I was back at it. I was trying to get it too perfect and was afraid I was going to end up cutting it way too short so I forced myself to stop and had Katie hide the scissors. I'm happy with the way it ended up and the mullet is gone, HOORAY!
